Bringing stardom to the Hollywoodbets Durban July, the surprised actress and singer, Anlia Etzebeth, will perform the national anthem, ‘Nkosi Sikelel’ iAfrika’, at South Africa’s premier horse-racing event on Saturday, 4 July.

Hollywoodbets made this announcement on Friday, stating that the acclaimed performer on both screen and stage, Etzebeth, will deliver an exceptional live performance, which includes a rendition of the South African anthem at Cape Town Stadium in 2022, coinciding with Springbok Eben Etzebeth’s 100th test cap, where he achieved a Man of the Match performance.

Both brand ambassadors of Hollywoodbets, Anlia and Eben, expressed their excitement in a recent press statement as they look forward to the significant day.

“It is always such an incredible honour to sing our national anthem! It is even more special to get to sing it at this year’s Hollywoodbets Durban July. I cannot wait!” Anlia told the Hollywoodbets Media Team.

Anlia is recognised by both international and local television audiences for her performances in Raised By Wolves, as well as in the soap operas Getroud Met Rugby and Suidooster.

Eben’s rugby supporters, numbering in the millions, are captivated by the dynamic No. 4, who holds the record as the most capped Springbok with 141 appearances. The power couple relocated to KwaZulu-Natal from France after Eben joined the Hollywoodbets Sharks in 2022.

This year’s theme is “Country Allure”. It serves as an invitation to designers, fashion enthusiasts, and racegoers to find inspiration in the stunning rural landscapes of our country and the sophistication of our equestrian culture.
