Township, also known as Kasi football, is poised to take the spotlight later this month with the introduction of the inaugural Gauteng Kasi Football Championship. This tournament aims to highlight emerging talent and rekindle community enthusiasm for the beautiful game.
Backed and sponsored by Hollywoodbets as part of its continuous commitment to grassroots sports, the competition will offer a competitive arena for local teams to excel and for future stars to be identified. The tournament is scheduled to take place over two days, specifically on the 28th and 29th of March 2026, at Duduza Stadium. This event will unite eight of Gauteng’s most promising amateur teams in a high-stakes competition for provincial bragging rights.
