Double Delight for Banyana Banyana as They Beat Algeria Again

In an international friendly match, Banyana Banyana scored a second victory over Algeria on Friday, 17 April, defeating the North African team 2-0 at King Zwelithini Stadium.

The Banyana Banyana coach, Dr Desiree Ellies, made six changes to the lineup at King Zwelithini from the team that played earlier in the week on Tuesday.

In the return match, the coach included players such as Kaylin Swart, Sinegugu Zondi, Karabo Dhlamini, Nonhlanhla Mthandi, Gabriel Moodaly-Salgado, and Bonolo Mokoma.

Having won the first match 1-0 with a goal from Nthabiseng Majiya, she replicated this success in the return fixture at King Zwelithini, scoring a goal in a 2-0 victory for the South Africans.

Scoring her first goal in the national colours, Shakira O’Malley contributed the second and decisive goal for Banyana Banyana.
