The Grammy-winning DJ and producer from South Africa, Black Coffee, recently captivated audiences with a world-class performance at a sold-out 360-degree orchestral set held at the Arènes de Nîmes, a 2000-year-old Roman amphitheatre in France.

On Friday, 8 May, more than 14,000 fans gathered for this historic event, which seamlessly combined Afro-house music with a live symphony orchestra, marking his inaugural orchestral concert in Europe.

The South African music icon, Black Coffee, whose real name is Nkosinathi Maphumulo, has once again demonstrated his star power and iconic status, reaffirming why he is regarded as one of the most respected DJs globally. He transformed the ancient stone arena into a breathtaking celebration of sound, culture, and African excellence.

Of course, Black Coffee, who recently celebrated his 50th birthday in March with a lavish star-studded three-day weekend in Cape Town, South Africa, is no stranger to the international stage.

Over the years, he has performed at some of the most prestigious venues worldwide, including Madison Square Garden in New York, Ibiza, and sold-out shows across Europe and Africa.

His March celebration included a sunset boat cruise, a formal black-tie dinner at Beau Constantia, and a concluding event at the Bungalow in Clifton, attended by celebrity guests such as Swizz Beatz and Alicia Keys.
