The 2026 Cape Town International Jazz Festival (CTIJF) attracted music enthusiasts from various locations to unite in appreciation of exceptional performances and local artists such as Tutu Puoane and legends such as Abdullah Ibrahim, as the essence of jazz served as a reminder of the festival’s significant role in Cape Town’s cultural agenda.

Georgia Jones, the co-director of the CTIJF, stated that this year’s festival marked a lively commencement of a new era for the CTIJF.

“We felt a fresh energy pushing through every performance and every corner of our venue,” Jones said.

We are not just celebrating a successful event; we are celebrating the rebirth of a cultural legacy that is bolder, more inclusive, and more energised. The journey ahead is bright, and we are excited that this is just the beginning.

“CTIJF 2026 reflects who we are as a city and as a continent: bold, expressive, and globally connected. From the artists we present to the partners who walk this journey with us, Jones explained. “The festival remains rooted in community while speaking to an international audience. It’s this balance that continues to make the CTIJF Africa’s Grandest Gathering.”

Carolyn Savage, the co-director of CTIJF, states that partnering with CTIJF provides brands with a unique opportunity to align with a globally recognised cultural platform that engages audiences well beyond the two days of the event.

Our partners benefit from extensive, multichannel marketing across digital, print, and out‑of‑home media while being part of an authentic, values‑driven festival with significant international visibility.

“The CTIJF is not just a live experience, it’s a powerful brand amplifier that delivers meaningful engagement, long‑term association and access to a diverse, highly engaged local and global audience,” Savage concluded.
